A Day at the Lake

We went to the lake yesterday for the day and had a blast. It was such a beautiful day. Patrick's Parents and Uncle Andrew and Aunt Elizabeth we all there. We rode on the boat and enjoyed the wind, but didn't get in the water because it was way to cold. Maybe when we go back in a few weeks it will be warmer. Madelyn is trying on Aunt E's sunglasses in the picture above. She thinks she is cool!

Our routine checkups

Madelyn went to her two year checkup at the doctor on April 11th. He said she is doing great. She weighs 26 pounds (40% percentile for girls) and she is 35 inches tall (also, 40% percentile). At her 18 month checkup, she was in the 20% percentile, so we have moved on up. Patrick took her and he said as soon as the nurse called her name, she cried. Brooks had his six month checkup at the doctor on April 15th. He is doing great as well. He weighs 15 pounds (50% percentile for boys) and he is 26 1/2 inches tall (also, 50% percentile). He did not cry until his shots. Of course, he didn't know what was going on like Madelyn did. He will soon learn not to like the doctor.

All these pictures are from our little photo session at Portrait Innovations today. I thought it would be hard with two, but it was not and the pictures turned out great. Can't wait to have real beach pictures this summer!

Mommy's Big Helper

Madelyn is my big helper! The other day she was trying to feed Brooks the last ounce of his bottle. He almost always leaves one ounce for some reason. She loves her little brother. (Sorry for the blurry picture - I have to take the shot I get with a two year old) A few weeks ago, Brooks started rolling over both ways and he now likes to do it all the time. We have been practicing sitting up. Maybe that milestone will come soon! Also, he likes to reach for toys. Next week we go for his 6 month checkup. I cant believe my little man is going to be 6 months. Wow, it goes by so fast.
