Happy Birthday Jesus!!!!

Merry Christmas to all! How great is it to be able to rejoice in our Saviour's birth!!!!! Christmas day was an awesome day with our family. We hung out in our pj's almost the whole day. We read the Christmas story, unwrapped gifts, had a late breakfast, took a little walk, and then later had some good friends over for a big dinner. It was an awesome day! Above is a picture of when the kids came in on Christmas morning (Madelyn is in the background jumping for joy about her new wooden kitchen)!
So excited Santa put a Cinderella movie in her stocking!
Brooks is in awe of his new train set!
Madelyn is trying to figure out why Santa did not eat all the cookies. We explained that he had a lot of houses to go to and that he was already full. :)

Getting ready for our walk around the neighborhood!

Christmas day ended with cake and singing "Happy Birthday to Jesus"!

Christmas Eve

We spent Christmas Eve this year with my parents, grandmother, and my sister's family at our house. We enjoyed some great fellowship (and also some great steaks)! At 4:00, we went to our Christmas Eve service at OMPC. It was very special because my whole family came with us. Thank you all for coming! When we came home, the four of us spent some time on the sofa as a family. We talked to the kids about why we celebrate Christmas and then we sang Happy Birthday to Jesus. It melted my heart!!!
My sister and I got homemade quilts from my mom (well and dad too). Mom did an AWESOME job. What a special gift that I will treasure for LIFE!
My grandmother (Nanny) reading to Madelyn and Brooks
Christopher and Hunter being lazy!
Madelyn and Brooks are observing the cookies and milk we put out for Santa and the carrots for the reindeer.
My three kiddos acting crazy (too much suger has been eaten by this point)! :)
Well, they are both sound asleep! Time for the elves to get to work!

Christmas with the Harwells

Last weekend, we went to Auburn to have Christmas with Patrick's family. It was a fun filled weekend. Madelyn and Brooks both got something to ride from Grandan and Baba for Christmas. They really love their bike and scooter. When it warms upwe hope we can ride more. Grandan took us all to Callaway Gardens to see the Fantasy in Lights on Saturday night. The kids LOVED it. Thank you Grandan and Baba!

Grandan with his new "The Boss" hard hat!
Since the kids would not take pictures with the nutcracker, me and Aunt Elizabeth decided we would!

Fun Christmas Activities

Well, December started with a bang! We have had many Christmas activities to attend! The first weekend of the month, we went to the Homewood Christmas parade. We enjoy seeing the parade every year. This year it was extremely COLD!
Sara and Quinn enjoying the parade!
Madelyn and Quinn (Do they look cold or what?) We missed our friends JT and Daniel!
Well, our visit with Santa was quit interesting this year! Madelyn and Brooks went with their friend, Meredith. I was hoping that they would see Meredith run to Santa and maybe they would do so as well. Well, not so much! Finally, to get a photo, Santa acted like he was looking for squirrels in his trees and then when it was time for the picture, he came from behind and posed. They had no idea he was there. :)
After Santa, the three of them rode the carousel! They always love that!
For the first time, we went to the live Nativity at Briarwood this year! It was incredible! The kids enjoyed seeing all the scenes that told the story of the Birth of Jesus!

Happy Birthday Jesus Party! I hosted a birthday party for our friends the Boneys and Vines to celebrate the reason for this season. We first decorated cupcakes and sang happy birthday to Jesus! Then, we made a Fruit Loop Wreath ornament for our trees! And lastly, we talked about the meaning of the candy cane and read the Christmas Story in a board book. All the kids seemed to really enjoy all the fun activities! Thank you all for coming and for your friendships!

Thanksgiving

We had fun having Thanksgiving at my mom's house! It is always fun when all 8 of the grandkids get together. This year Alabama and Auburn played on Friday and messed up Black Friday shopping (but we still got in 3 hours of shopping). I enjoyed watching the game with my family, we dont get to do that very much. Much credit to Auburn, they played an awesome game! But I am glad we pulled it out in the last quarter with a 7 minute drive to score! Roll Tide!!
Me, my brother, and sister

The weekend before Thanksgiving, MH went to the Bama game with Pepaw and Nana! She really enjoyed getting her picture made with a bama majorette. She said I want to be one of those when I grow up!
