Our blog needs some help!

Well, I have probably fifty posts when I get our blog fixed! For some reason, I am struggling trying to fix it. Hopefully this problem will get resolved soon! :) Look forward to blogging soon!

July 4th Weekend

Happy 4th of July!!! We had a great time with Patrick's family at Lake Martin. Grandan and Baba have been working very hard to finish this new lake house and we got to all be together for the first time on the 4th. It was a fun time for all!!! Also, we got to visit with the Harwell's (Patrick's Grandparents). We are glad they go to come celebrate the 4th with us!

Well, I am super late on posting about our vacation to the NC mountains with my family. We had a BLAST! Sorry for so many pictures. :) More posts to come on the 4th and other things.

Our First Born

Our sweet Madelyn was 4 on March 28th! Crazy! We didn't have her well check until two weeks ago. Doctor said she looks great. Her stats are: Weight: 31 lbs (25%) and Height: 38 1/2 inches (30%) Doc said he would have loved for her to have gained more than two pounds this past year but he was not super worried. In the past 3 or 4 months, I feel like she has started eating a ton more. Maybe we will gain more next year! :)

Things Madelyn Loves:

* Loves going to Gymnastics

* Loves to sing

* Loves everything pink

* Loves her nails and toenails to be done (wonder where she gets that from?)

* Loves wearing flipflops

* Loves to cook with Mommy and Daddy

* Loves to swing (just like Mommy)

* Loves to be our little helper

* Loves to go shopping with her Daddy

* Loves to Dress up

* Loves princesses

* Loves to match her shoes and bows to her outfit (she sometimes tells me something does not match)

* Loves Life (very outgoing personality)

Also:

* Madelyn completely dresses herself now (which we love).

* We have been talking about "Big School", and she can't wait!! "Big School" will be Edgewood Elem. (but not until Sept 2011). She tells us about her two buddies she is good friends with in our neighborhood going to "her" big school as well and how they will be in her class (as if she knows). :)

* The other day, she told someone she was about to be 5!! So precious! The crazy things they say.

Madelyn we love you so much and thank God everyday for you! I am so blessed to be a MOM. God is GOOD!!!

Sweet Friends

Madelyn, Brooks, and I went to visit some good friends in Wetumpka this past Saturday and Sunday night (Patrick is on a work trip). We all had a great time hanging out and catching up! Jaycie's daddy built her a playhouse and Madelyn thought it was the coolest thing (see pic above).
Little Buddies: Brooks and Dawson are two months apart in age. They play well together (except when Brooks hit him). I think we are going through a little hitting stage with B man. :(
The girls loved getting to take a bath together. I think they could have stayed in there all night if we would have let them.Settled down, all watching Tinkerbell together!
We have been in Birmingham since 2003 and have yet to visit the Vulcan. The Boneys invited us to go a couple of weeks ago and the kids really enjoyed it. They were doing some work on Vulcan so we could not go up to the deck and see him closer. But, Quinn and Madelyn did this fun scavenger hunt inside the museum.

Well, I rarely blog about what fun things Patrick gets to do, so I wanted to put a plug in for him. He got invited to go to the Masters with some of his good friends from Auburn. He was super excited to get to go! Pictured above is Lindsey, Tyler, and Shaun.

Boys, Boys, Boys!!!! I have several good friends that are having boys in the next 7 weeks. Need less to say, I have been busy going to baby showers. Also, my bother-in-law and sister-in-law are having a boy in late summer as well. Crazy! I cant wait to meet them all!!! Madelyn's 4 Year Old Interview

One of my good friends designs memory albums and many other cute things (www.ohsuzyqdesigns.etsy.com) and I have just finished Madelyn's first album! It is memories from the past year (turning three to four). On the last page there is an interview, and a couple of weeks ago I interviewed Madelyn. It was quite amusing:

What is your fav restaurant? The Original Pancake House (she can eat like 6 or 7 pancakes)

Who do you love? My daddy (guess mommy is not loved) :)

What makes you happy? Getting a prize

What makes you sad? When someone is not sharing with me (this is the pot calling the kettle black)

If you could be an animal, what would you be? Elephant

Are you afraid of anything? If so, what? Cats

Describe your funniest memory. nothing (dont think she understood what I was asking)

What do you want to be when you grow up? Tinkerbell (so maybe she will work for DisneyWorld???)

What is your fav day of the year? My birthday

What is something you want to learn how to do? I want to learn how to color better with markers. (this was pretty random)
