Fun at McWane

We are enjoying our family pass to the McWane.  Today we went with friends, since it is freezing outside.  The girls and Brooks had a ball.  Brooks' favorite spot is the water table.  You will see above that all three of them are playing together at first and the girls quickly moved because B-man was dumping water everywhere.  He was soaking wet by the end.
Meredith in total concentration (tongue out and all)!
Soaking wet but very happy!!!
Madelyn in total concentration!!!
Brooks is going shopping for groceries!  By the way:  Does anyone know where those little "customers in training" buggies went that grocery stores used to have?  Maybe I don't go to the ones that have them.  :)
M and M being silly!

Happy 3rd Birthday Madelyn!!

Madelyn's first night in her new toddler bed was this past Friday night (the night before she turned three)!  She did awesome and has done great ever since.  She loves it!!!  Her birthday party with friends was this past Saturday.  I cant believe she is three.  We rented this fun flip and gym bus and the kids played on it for an hour.  They had a blast.  Due to the rain forecast, we had to change our plans a little and cancel the birthday moonwalk we had rented for the back yard.  But the weather turned out nice and the kids had fun on the gym bus.  Saturday night, Madelyn had her birthday dinner at Sumo with some dear friends and had a blast. By bed time that night, she was exhausted!!!  What a fun day!
Uncle Andrew and Aunt E couldn't make it to the family celebration the weekend before so they came to see Madelyn on her birthday!!

Birthday Celebration for Madelyn with Family

Wow, how time flies!  Our little princess is turning three this coming Saturday.  We celebrated with family this past weekend and Madelyn had a ball.  She got a little wooden bench from her Grandan (Patrick's dad) and she got a little wooden table from her Pepaw (My dad).  Both granddads enjoy doing wood working in their spare time.  They both laugh because I keep putting in my orders for different things.  She got so many cute things from everyone.  Thank you so much for coming to celebrate with Madelyn!  We love you!

Madelyn and Two (that is what she named her baby) posing for a picture!!
For her little party, I made some double doozies and cookies with icing in it and sprinkles on top (It's strange, but Madelyn does not like cake).  I thought she would eat one of these and she would not, maybe it's the icing.  But as you see below, Brooks loved it!!!

These are the cookies I made to send tomorrow to her preschool class to enjoy for her birthday.  Happy Birthday Madelyn!!

SNOW

What fun to wake up Sunday morning to Snow?  It was gorgeous.  Madelyn and Brooks didn't love playing in the snow but loved to look at it from the sunroom.  I know it is strange that my children don't like snow, maybe they will one day.  I had fun making a snowman and dressing him in my Dr. Seuss hat.  We drove around the area and it was fun to see all the different snowman that everyone had built.  Too bad it all melted!

This is my good friend's house around the corner from us.  I took this picture because if you look close you can see her toddler standing in the window looking out.  It was so cute!!!!
Yeah, Mr. Snowman is done.  He was hard work!
Hunter loved the snow!!
They would not keep gloves on (there were no worries of them picking up any snow since they didn't like it).  :)

Madelyn and Brooks' Surgery

Madelyn and Brooks had their adenoids removed and tubes put in this morning.  Since they took out the adenoids they had to put them completely under (gas, IV, tube in throat - the whole works).  Yuck!!  BUT, they did awesome.  When we got home, they were still a little loopy but then quickly started playing.  They napped on schedule and then went to bed on schedule.  They were a little extra grumpy tonight but not bad at all.  SO, hopefully if they have anymore ear infections that it will just drain out and we will not have any more doctor co-pays and prescriptions to fill for those infections.  The above picture is Brooks before the surgery in his little gown that was huge on him.  They took him back first and then 20 minutes later came and got Madelyn.
Madelyn getting ready for her surgery.  We talked about it with her, but she of course, still didn't really know what was going on.
Sweet Brooks after the surgery.
Sweet Madelyn after the surgery.  What a sad face!

Taller than me

In the past couple of months, Madelyn has really enjoyed playing with her blocks (even though we have had them forever).  She was so proud the other day when she built a tower that was taller then herself.  It actually stayed in one piece because B man was still napping.
